I've never heard of a monitor taking that long to come on!! Think it has a problem.

Before you do anything drastic - check that all the plugs behind the monitor are firmly home in their sockets - In the past I have come across some very funny problems that have been traced to a loose plug.

The second thing to check is that the plug on the back of the monitor hasn't worked loose - this is another common problem.

Its definitely a problem and you either have to fix it or change the monitor.
I have recently found a great tech support site with live free chat support that might help you solve this problem.

Here is the page for Monitor Chat Support

Good luck
